first movement: the red or black sandstone dominating the King George River in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
second movement: volcanic rock from Bali's Batur volcano, and limestone from the Pinnacles in Western Australia's Nambung Park.
third movement: red sandstone again, dominating the horizontal waterfalls of Talbot Bay in Australia.
a reef emerges
In north-western Australia, the tidal range is such that on a falling tide, seawater covering a reef at high tide takes longer to drain away from the reef than it takes for it to be swallowed up again. The result is hours of water cascading down the reef's slopes.
The shots of the phenomenon are taken from a zodiac in rough water, which makes it difficult to keep the camera steady.
