merger

The sequence is the result of merging two older animated sequences that were not interesting enough to feature on the site.

In addition, the two original sequences :

the light was ... and the water caught fire

It's all in the title.

It's worth noting that the beginning and almost the end of the first movement are based on real shots, without any digital processing. The rest of the sequence is based on other shots, barely digitally modified, with a few additions of drawn elements.

speed

In four movements, we travel - at rather sustained speed - successively through a tunnel in the Alps or on the A14 freeway, a cable-stayed bridge in Mumbai, the Dart River and a lagoon in New Zealand, dunes in the Persian Gulf ... Along the way, we come across car headlights on the A3 freeway, the lights of Roissy airport, wind turbines and clouds along the A10 freeway ... and a few digital drawings thrown in.

on the surface

Reflections of sunlight or clouds, patches of various colors, cast shadows appear on the surface of the water ... Note that the pastel tones of the images at the very beginning and end of the second movement are such that they result from a real shot at dawn on Lake Huron in the United States, without any special digital processing.

may 2024

A sequence based mainly on fixed compositions posted online in May 2024. Each composition appears in its complete version for one twenty-fourth of a second.

ebb and flow

Back to the aquatic element with this sequence based almost exclusively on real shots, videos or photos: in no particular order, the salar d'Uyuni, a gutter on Rue Guynemer, the fountain at Place Saint-Sulpice, the basins at Doha airport, a lagoon in the Maldives, ports in the Persian Gulf, the Sillon dike in Saint-Malo, and the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

dark matter

A sequence based on the fixed compositions uploaded in September 2023. The material, very dark at the start, takes on some color in the last two movements.
